The Philips Respironics DreamWear CPAP mask is designed differently than other CPAP masks to help you get to sleep comfortably.

CPAP machines, the most popular treatment for sleep apnea, are meant to keep air flowing through your airway to help you sleep. Consisting of the machine, hose, and mask, these devices can often feel bulky and get in the way of your comfort while trying to sleep.

Most CPAP masks are designed to fit over your nose or over both your nose and mouth. These masks are secured with straps that fit around the top of your head and also the side of your face, with a tube connecting the mask to the machine.

The tubing that comes out from the mask can often get in the way of comfort, especially for side or stomach sleepers, making it difficult to get into a comfortable sleep position.

How the DreamWear CPAP Mask is Different

Philips Respironics has come up with a new design for CPAP masks that keep the bulky tubing away from your face and the mask from covering your nose.

The DreamWear CPAP mask sits under your nose, while most CPAP masks rest on top of it. It’s cushioned for comfort and because it’s under your nose and not on top of it, it doesn’t cause irritation on the bridge of your nose like many other masks. It’s available in three different types of masks; nasal, full-face, and nasal pillows.

The DreamWear CPAP mask is not only set apart from the others because of its mask design.

The tubing, which usually comes directly out from the mask with other devices, sits on the top of the head, keeping it out of your way. Air quietly flows through the frame of the mask that sits on both sides of your face, and then into the tubing.

Since less of your face is covered with this mask, you can comfortably wear glasses to read or watch T.V.

The Dreamwear also comes is a full-face mask option that covers the nose and mouth. This may be helpful for individuals who prefer to breathe through the mouth or like the options of nasal or oral breathing. It comes as an adaptor module to the standard maks.

DreamWear CPAP Mask Reviews from Others

Many reviews for the DreamWear CPAP mask stated that it’s the perfect mask for someone who is not only a back sleeper. This set up is comfortable for any sleep position, even if you move around a lot throughout the night.

Many reviews also mentioned that it’s comfortable because you don’t need to worry about the tubing and that it’s like you’re not even wearing a CPAP mask at all. Also, not only is it comfortable, it keeps a good seal.

Some reviewers stated that it’s a good mask to alleviate any irritation around your nose and upper lip area.

It was also mentioned that the cost for the mask is a bit higher than some other masks out there, but the comfort is well worth the money.

The DreamWear CPAP Mask Works with All CPAP Machines

If you’re considering trying out the DreamWear CPAP masks, you should know that it works with any CPAP machine that uses standard CPAP tubing, without having to purchase an adaptor or extra pieces. It works with either CPAP or BiPAP.

Getting the correct size should be no problem, either. The frame and mask come in different sizes, so you’re able to get the sizes you need for each piece. Talk to your CPAP supplies professional about getting the CPAP mask size that works for you.
