Cause lots of docs like their own protocol.
Many labs don’t seem to care if pt’s are able to qualify for nPAP after being tested…they test and bill and that’s the end of it for them.
Remember – the Medicare criteria is to qualify for equipment.
However it only makes sense to use their criteria since most other ins providers use it too. I figure why test if they can’t get treatment? Just my opinion 😉
