Hypopnea, UAR, "po taa toe, pah tah toe"…2%,3%, 4% no percent
I read these things and I get aggravated. I have been scoring for 20+ years. Say I have a 66 year old who is falling asleep whilst driving to their volunteer job at the hospital. Poly proves slight deacreases in flow followed by an arousal and kick, however only 2% desat. Lets say this happens q 15-20 sec. I cannot treat this person with PAP because Medicare decides it’s not clinically significant???
Anything that interferes with the continuity of sleep is significant.
