Exactly. It way to easy for the recomended rule to be only used for insurance reasons. Its talked about alot on other forums. Its pointed out that a person could get a PSG qualify for CPAP, his insurance could change, and he could be re-evaluated and not qualify any more.

I don’t think its the AASM thats the root of the problem… and I’m happy the optional deffinition is getting recognition. But right now seems like an "ify" period in the hypopneas evulution timeline.

And if certain Center for ___ Servises would get off there ass and recognize the optional critiria as well as RERAs in light of the new technical reccomendations, the world would be a better place.
