Dr. Eric Kezirian, MD, MPH is a sleep surgeon and Professor in the USC Caruso Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at the Keck School of Medicine of USC in Los Angeles, California. He is also the immediate past President of the International Surgical Sleep Society. Dr. Kezirian is recognized by colleagues as one of the world’s expert snoring and sleep apnea surgeons. His research examining some of the most important questions in sleep apnea surgery has been funded by the National Institutes of Health and many professional organizations, and he has published this research in several leading medical journals. Based on his expertise, he works with multiple medical device companies in his dedication to improve the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea and snoring. He is double Board certified in otolaryngology—head and neck surgery and sleep medicine.
Upon graduating magna cum laude from Harvard College, he went on to earn a Master of Science from the University of Oxford. He attended medical school at the University of Pennsylvania, which consistently ranks as one of the top five medical schools in the country. During medical school, Dr. Kezirian was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. He then completed residency training in Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Washington, one of the top residency programs in the country, where he also obtained a Master of Public Health degree in epidemiology. After residency training, he completed a sleep surgery fellowship at Stanford University.
