My professional background is 30+ years dedicated to the sleep disorders field, in both research and clinical aspects. I am a registered sleep technologist (RPSGT #20, RST #2795) and was one of the first in the U.S. to obtain the RPSGT certification. I am currently the manager of Jupiter Medical Center Sleep Center, a 4 bed AASM accredited Sleep Center within a not-for-profit community hospital in Jupiter, Florida.
I enjoy teaching and frequently speak to the public as part of our hospital’s outreach and education programs, including a “Wellness in Motion” bus we use to go out into the community to provide education and screening tests.

H there, I have seen you speak at both the Wellness Center at Jupiter Medical and the Women’s Conference for the Jupiter Medical Center and we’ve exchange words as well. I’m writing to ask a few questions (since I do not have a phone number for you). I had taken a sleep study sleep study test on 10/15/13 with a Dr. Barone 425 E. 61st St. 5th Floor, in NY. At that time, I didn’t feel the need to get the sleep machine. I am now 69 years old and feeling that I’m tired quite a bit. I’ve been told that there are quite a few styles of sleep machines available now – for rent, so I’m asking what steps I need to take at this point. 1) Is another sleep study necessary? Hope not 2) I will be in and out of Florida from 9/25 to 10/1 – I will not return to Florida till November so I’m trying to get as much info as possible.
Look forward to hearing from you.
